The AIT Global Partnership

A New Membership Program for Visionary Firms with an International Perspective

S

ummary:
Since 1988, AIT Global has produced over 125 conferences, exhibits and special IT events in partnership with and hosted by the United Nations.

Our events always offer a unique opportunity for technology and other firms to meet and share their knowledge with a very special, international audience of thought leaders, decision makers, and key influencers from the enterprise, business, government, and academia sectors.

Now, the UN is strengthening its commitment to IT as an engine for global development.  In March 2006, the UN Secretary-General and the UN General Assembly (192 Member Nations) approved the launch of the United Nations Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development (UN-GAID), a permanent initiative that both replaces and builds upon previous IT development programs at the UN.  Further, the Secretary-General and the UN General Assembly declared May 17 as (Annual) World Information Society Day, as a result of outlines set by the World Summit on the Information Society in 2005.

We are honored the UN-GAID has maintained AIT Global as the UN’s continuing Partner, since 1988, to work closely with the UN to plan and manage Annual IT Conferences and Exhibits that Promote IT for Economic, Business and Social Development, in support of the United Nations’ most important Meetings and Conferences.  This essential commitment enables AIT Global to establish new programs and deliver a greater level of benefits than we have ever offered before, through The AIT Global Partnership (AGP).  Events will cover Best IT Practices for Economic, Business, and Social Development, for business, government, and academia.

The AGP - An Important Opportunity For Your Company:
The AGP is a strategic upgrade for our entire organization, enhancing our capabilities and bringing exciting new opportunities to our Members.  For the first time, we can offer an annual schedule of events to AGP Members!  The range of events will be expanded gradually, and annually.  AGP Members will play a key role in establishing and planning priorities, themes, and event schedules.  These Members would participate in planning meetings with the AGP and the UN-GAID.  Their input is vital to the overall success of the AGP, based on their unique perspective.  Each AGP Member will receive global recognition for each of the major Conferences and Events supported by the AGP.

We Seek a Maximum of Six AGP Charter Members from the IT Provider and the Banking & Finance Sectors:
In order to move things along quickly, we encourage our initial AGP Charter Members to select up to two categories – a primary and secondary, including applications --- from the following listings.  Then, as additional IT Provider or Banking Finance Firms join the AGP, these new Members will have the opportunity to pick-up one of the secondary categories as previously selected by one of the initial Members.  From that point forward each of these AGP Members would concentrate its efforts on its selected category.  Of course, each AGP Member needs to be International in scope.  The AGP will have a maximum of only Six IT Provider & Banking/Finance Members into the foreseeable future.  For your review, here’s the listing of suggested categories:

  • IT Infrastructure
  • Software and Management Tools (SOA, etc.)
  • Open Source Software
  • Connectivity - for IT Infrastructure
  • Wireless - for IT Infrastructure
  • Security - for IT Infrastructure
  • Banking and Finance
  • Applications where IT and/or Banking/Finance are Pre-requisite

Each Member provides Keynote and Expert Panel Presenters, Exhibits, and guidance in its specific area, for AGP Events, to avoid confusion on the part of audience members as to each Member’s expertise.  Member Firms participate in each event shown herein, to achieve greater global recognition and branding.

Presenters and Exhibitors will have the chance to strongly influence the ways businesses and governments promote the use of IT to expand business, economic and social development.  Enterprise and Business executives, Government diplomats and officials, plus Academia and Non-profit executives, attend all events at No Charge, to enhance the experience for Presenters and Exhibitors.

We Invite a Maximum of Six Non-Vendors at the CIO or Equivalent Level to Join the AGP:
AGP Membership is open to Chief Information Officers (CIOs), VPs, or equivalent titled executives, from the private or public sectors. These Members would be from firms other than IT, Banking and Finance.  Each Member would provide expert input in his or her specific area for AGP Events, and provide Keynote and Expert Panel Presentations.  These Members would participate in planning meetings with the AGP and the UN-GAID.  Their input is vital to the overall success of the AGP, based on their unique perspective.  The AGP will have a maximum of only Six CIO or Equivalent Members into the foreseeable future.

AGP Events Each Target a Different Audience Make-up:
Each of the Events will have a different audience make-up, since each UN Event has a different theme, goal, and will attract a different kind of audience.  In other words, you’ll present to and exhibit for a different audience at each event.  Please see the typical audience breakdown at http://www.aitglobal.com/audience-breakdown.html.

AGP Members’ Corporate Name/Logo, with Link to their Web Page, and a Write-up, will Show Prominently on the AIT Global Web Site:
With the Member’s permission we’ll include their corporate name/logo, with a link to their home page, on the AIT Global web site.  AGP Members would submit a write-up on their firm, for inclusion.

AGP Members Will Have the Opportunity to Submit White Papers:
Members can submit White Papers for posting on the AIT Global Web Page, and via AIT Global’s Newsletter.  The AGP will, additionally, submit these White Papers to the UN-GAID.  As we move forward, other mutually beneficial offerings will become available to Members, through the AGP.

The AIT Global Partnership Membership: Exclusive And All-Inclusive!

  • AGP membership provides a straightforward and comprehensive set of benefits designed to fit into your annual planning process.  Our structure will remain simple and effective.
  • By keeping membership strictly limited, we plan to maximize the value provided to all.
  • Each member will play a big role in tailoring our future activities to provide as much positive impact for their own organization as possible.

Global Awareness Programs:

  • Our intent is to build the AIT Global Partnership into one of the most recognized and influential IT organizations in the world - what we offer to AGP Charter Members today is only a small part of what we’ll deliver in the future.
  • AGP members will benefit from global awareness and Marcomm campaigns through the UN, our partner IDG Publications, through the efforts of over 30 supporting IT Industry Associations and UN Affiliated Departments/Universities/Organizations, and through AIT Global’s promotional efforts.
  • Promotions, due to legalities, must in most cases point the prospective audience members to the AIT Global web site for details; likewise, in most cases promotions cannot legally include the names of AGP Vendor Members.
  • AGP Vendor Members, their URL and logo, will appear on the AGP Official Program Web Page.

Share Your Vision With The World Through The AIT Global Partnership:
As our past cosponsors and attendees know well, AIT Global events are truly special gatherings that often lead to important, long-term personal and business relationships.  Our events are one of the few opportunities that IT professionals have to present and discuss their vision and ideas with a global audience of enterprise, business, government and academia decision makers.  Membership in the AGP gives your company a serious potential to impact the IT thinking of global leadership and help promote the future of IT development throughout the world.  The AGP is not only a smart business decision; it’s also a prestigious and socially important program to help you generate good will and business.
